About us

Empowered to Drive was created by Brooke Hersh, PhD, licensed psychologist in Austin, TX with 20 years of experience working with youth and families, as response to the significant numbers of young people who experience heightened discomfort and reluctance in learning to drive.Drawing from positive psychology, mindfulness, neurobiology, and CBT, Empowered to Drive aims to help young people (or anyone) build pathways toward independent driving, an essential skill for furthering independence and trust in self.
